I’m Daniel Rios. Cuper Mototaxi began as my idea: connecting people and mobility through technology. My chapter with this project ended in 2020, but its story is part of who I am.

01 / The origin
Cuper Mototaxi was my attempt to bring an everyday mobility need into the digital world. The project’s website presented motorcycle rides, courier services and Cuper Auto in Colombia.
The full name matters to me: Cuper Mototaxi. Behind that brand are an original idea, work and lessons I want to preserve.

02 / My recollection

Looking back on Cuper, I recalled that the app had surpassed 100,000 subscribers. This is a personal recollection, not an audited count of active users or downloads.
My chapter with the project ended in 2020. It taught me about business organization, decisions and the responsibility that comes with an idea as it grows. It also inspired my intention to tell this story in a book and share what I learned.
Today, that experience connects with ColvenGroup and my goal of making artificial intelligence approachable for people without a technology background.

“To me, Cuper was shut down by the government. Alongside that came disagreements with partners and the arrival of COVID-19. That is how I experienced the end of a project that began as my idea.”
My chapter ended in 2020. To tell the full story of that ending, I need to acknowledge those three factors: government action, disagreements between partners and the pandemic. This is my experience as the project’s creator.
The official record
Resolution 2031 of March 12, 2021 opened an administrative investigation and brought charges against TEAM CUP S.A.S., identified in the document as Cuper’s operator. Supertransporte’s announcement of April 8, 2021 included Cuper among several apps under investigation.
These documents establish that an investigation was opened; they are not a closure order from 2020 and do not, on their own, establish why my chapter ended. The disagreements between partners and the impact of COVID-19 are included as part of my account.
